Stamps.com 5lbs Digital USB Scale Model: 510 review & hacks

It cost $15 monthly to sign up stamps.com service compared with free paypal shipping service.
Pro:

1. stamp printing available
2. address keyin is cut and paste, without seperating to several individual fields

Cons:

1. stamps.com program is stand alone windows program, instead JAVA based.
2. not real USPS shipping saving. 

After terminating my subscription to stamps.com, I have this digital scale 510 left.

this program is useful to read weight from USB. simple and up to 15 lbs most.

again, its not java based, and there is no link to USPS calculating,

also wondering if it is possible to connect to smartphone through USB port?
